Campus selectionprocedure


Ebbinge Campus selects its candidates (around 900 every year) on the basis of a strict, intensive selection procedure. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Questionnaire
    First of all, you receive a questionnaire with questions about your professional qualities, personal competences and motivation. Your answers to the questions give us an understanding of your study progress, work experience and extra-curricular activities as well as your character, qualities, dreams and aspirations. After evaluating your completed questionnaire, we decide whether we will invite you for the next round: the career counselling interview.

  2. Career counselling interview
    If you receive an invitation to the career counselling interview, we will look forward to meeting you at the Ebbinge Campus in Brussels or Amsterdam. There you will speak with a consultant who is specialized in your field of interest. As your sparring partner, the consultant has just one goal: to give you career advice. In that interview both of you will try to find the right direction for your future career. Who are you and what drives you? Which sector fits you best? Which type of position? Which corporate culture? And what do you need to grow towards your aspired career? At the end of the interview you will already have received your initial career guidance from us.

  3. Capacity test
    At Ebbinge Campus, you will make a capacity test that same day: a written intelligence test that maps out your analytical skills and capacity for abstract thinking.

  4. Matching
    On the basis of all the impressions we have received, the consultants will draw up the balance: what is your personal profile and which career direction do we think is appropriate for you? They will translate these considerations into a personal career advice.

  5. Ebbinge candidate
    The Ebbinge Campus consultant will contact you within two weeks of your visit to Ebbinge Campus. Together, you will discuss the personal profile that we compiled on the basis of your questionnaire, career counselling interview and capacity test. And he/she will explain the career advice that was formulated for you. We will also give you our honest opinion of your career possibilities. And you will hear whether we intend to include you in the Ebbinge Campus database or not.

If we do accept you in our database, you will be able to call yourself an Ebbinge candidate. That means that the Ebbinge consultant will help you launch your career from that moment onward. With personal advice, training courses, workshops, orientation days at companies, and a possible traineeship. And if everything goes well, you will end up with a promising first job after your graduation.

Through Ebbinge & Company Young Professionals we follow you as a Ebbinge candidate after you have started your first job. During your further career, you can therefore rely on our advice, mediation and career guidance.
