The Role of Investment Associate

In order to reinforce the team, Verlinvest is seeking to recruit an Investment Associate to focus on investing and portfolio activities in the Nordic region, and to play a key role in further developing the presence of Verlinvest across Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

He or she will be an integral part of the investment team and actively participate in the different steps of the investment cycle. He / she will, amongst others, be responsible for:

  • The identification and analysis of prospective investments by conducting in-depth market analysis and financial modeling;
  • The development of insightful investment recommendation to senior management;
  • The coordination of the due diligence process and the different advisors required;
  • Supporting on the negotiation process to ensure the successful execution of the deal;
  • Participating to the deal closing activities;
  • Monitoring the performance of existing investments and working hand in hand with the senior management of portfolio companies to support their development.


Profile of the Candidate

For the Investment Professional, we will seek candidates with a strong ability to analyze and model investments but also with an excellent business acumen.

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • 2-5 years in M&A in an international investment bank (ideally from a consumer team), in a well-known Private Equity player or in strategy from a top tier player such as McKinsey, Bain or BCG. Candidates with a relevant industry experience can also be considered;
  • A degree in Finance, Business or Engineering from a leading university or business school with exceptional results;
  • Strong ability to analyze and model investments is required;
  • Intelligent, strong communicator, excellent analytical skills;
  • Fluency in English and in another international language (preferably Swedish) is required;
  • Knowledge of one of the fields/sectors of expertise of Verlinvest is a strong advantage;
  • International experience is required.
